The room itself was fine, and the bell boy was helpful with luggage. The receptionist was friendly, too. Having Hero Market and Mr DIY in the same building is handy for groceries and other things, and the location is convenient. The shower smelled like pee, though, so I washed it before using it. The bathroom could be cleaner. My twin room had supplies for just one person, including bottled water and a toothbrush, though there were enough towels. On the second day they brought a bathroom mat/towel, which I’d thought they didn’t have. The housekeeping switch was broken, so I had to ask at reception for housekeeping. When I arrived in the rain, nobody offered an umbrella at the entrance. Inside the lobby, the male staff were laughing and chatting with each other. The four lifts took around 5-10 minutes each time. Maybe the hotel is budgeting its supplies. It may suit you if you don’t mind the service.

The food had a good range, especially the local dishes, and I enjoyed the taste. The meeting rooms seemed busy all day, so lunch was lively and crowded. I was there for a meeting, and the hotel was comfortable and worked well for that. It has an old-fashioned feel, with dated carpets and a more classic than modern interior. I also appreciated having a Quran in the room. Comfortable overall despite the older look.

We had a delicious dinner at the scenic rooftop Sky Lounge. F&B Akash was attentive and made sure my friend and I enjoyed the experience. We stayed in Balcony Room 731 on the 7th floor.

Akash in the dining area was lovely and gave great service. Lunch was really good value and enjoyable, while breakfast wasn’t good unless you’re happy with just fruit and yoghurt. The pool was good and had nice views, but there were only chairs, no sun loungers. The poolside music was the same wordless beat on repeat all day, and it was terrible and extremely repetitive. We stayed a couple of nights at a reasonable price, but the advertised spa wasn’t there. We’d requested a double bed, but were given two singles and told they couldn’t change it. The room had lots of carpet stains, an empty, very small mini fridge, and just a dirty empty water jug and one small warm bottle of water on arrival. The TVs were basic, with no smart TV features. The gym is decent for a basic hotel, but you can only use it until 12pm, when they lock you out. The 9th floor vending machine didn’t work: its QR payment code led to a Google search with no results. The toilets on floor 9 were in poor shape, with paint peeling off the walls.
