Le Méridien Putrajaya

I stayed here for about a week and a half for work, and the staff were fantastic. The rooms are spacious and nice, with great views of the surrounding area. If your room faces north, you can see the KL skyline on a clear day. Being connected to the IOI mall means lots of food choices, and elite guests can use the nice club area on the 20th floor. Great hotel, highly recommend!

The lounge interaction left us with a disappointing impression, even though the duty manager later listened and apologized. He said the staff member involved was an intern, and I appreciated him taking our feedback seriously. My wife and I had checked in around 7:50 PM after arriving at the hotel at about 7:30. The duty manager who checked us in suggested we go straight to the club lounge for dinner before it closed at 8, so we headed there with our luggage. At around 7:55, nobody was at the reception desk, and two staff members saw us come in without greeting us. We asked politely whether we could still get food and were told, “Yes, please take your time.” We quickly served ourselves and were walking back to our table when a staff member asked, “Are you done?” We hadn’t even sat down or started eating. He then told us the line was closing at 8. We both lost our appetite. I understand the lounge has a closing time, but after being told it was fine to take food, that approach made us feel unwelcome. Based on this recent lounge experience, I’d give it one star.

The suite’s space, layout, and spectacular view won us over so completely that we decided to extend our stay again. We ended up there from 01Jan-05Jan, and the whole visit was beyond words. We had come from Singapore after unexpected issues disrupted our original plans. My husband decided to try Le Meridien Putrajaya, and we made an extra night’s booking at the last minute. After more than 300 guests checked out on 1Jan2026, housekeeping was short-staffed, so we were told we might wait a few hours for the room. Manager Mr Mac agreed to our request and made the wait pleasant by inviting us to complimentary dinner in the level 20 Lounge. We finally checked in around 8pm, to room 1813, a beautiful one-bedroom suite. The staff at the Ground floor restaurant and level 20 Lounge were attentive, polite, and friendly. Manager Mr Johnny greeted us whenever we came to the lounge, where the breakfast, high-tea, and dinner menus changed daily. Housekeeper Mr Haresh also surprised us on two of our four nights with his towel-folding skills: a pair of swans with two pink hearts, then a cute penguin. They made our day, though sadly we couldn’t take them home. We enjoyed breakfast at both the Ground floor restaurant and the Lounge, making that our daily routine so we could sip tea or coffee and relax with the fantastic view. On our last day, Miss Sonia was very friendly and humble, and patiently heard our little feedback. Our short vacation was memorable, splendid, and fantastic. Thanks to everyone at the restaurant, Lounge, reception, and valet service. We’ll definitely recommend Le Meridien Putrajaya to friends, relatives, and colleagues, and this won’t be our last visit!

Breakfast at the first-floor restaurant was a highlight, with Malaysian favorites like nasi lemak, a prawn mee station, dim sum, local kueh, and plenty more. The flavors tasted authentic. Afternoon tea in the executive lounge was much more limited, just one sandwich option and a few kueh and desserts, but what was there was rich and satisfying. My executive room was spotless, spacious, and elegantly designed, with a grand, well-equipped bathroom. The hotel also recognized my Marriot gold status at check-in, which was quick and easy, and left chocolates with a thoughtful note from the manager. It’s next to the IOI shopping mall, and the ride from the airport takes around 30-40 minutes. I had a great stay, though I wish I’d had more than one day in Malaysia. I’d stay here again.
