The room was a little small, though it had all the hotel gear I could need. I liked that the air conditioning was already on and didn't need a key card, and they gave us two cards at check-in, which is a big plus. The large TV worked well, with screen casting and plenty of channels, and the outlet with USB A and C ports was handy for different devices. There was a lot to like in the lobby too, with nice decor and things to play with or relax around. The hotel parking took some figuring out at first, but I got used to it. The shower door was heavy and awkward, even with its soft-close feature. The traditional water heater swung between lava hot and sub-zero cold. Prices were quite reasonable, though, and the stay was very pleasant. I'd recommend it.

I've stayed here several times and can see the improvements. Registration was quick and easy, and the staff have become more thoughtful and friendly. I really like the self-service laundry. I got all my dirty clothes from my Japan trip taken care of without hassle. During breakfast, Fatah noticed I wasn't feeling well and brought me warm lemon water. That was thoughtful, thank you. The location is the best part, within walking distance of ioi city mall. I used to stay at marriott putrajaya, but not anymore, this is better for me. For a roomy, cozy stay, book the booster queen room. It's a wonderful place to stay.

The self-service laundry was a real practical plus, and checkout was quick. Staff were friendly in a casual, youthful way. I stayed a few nights for work, and the hotel is stylish and functional, though breakfast and some bathroom details stop it feeling fully polished. It's new, flashy, and full of bright colors and playful decor, with a very Gen Z vibe. Parking is free, but there's no EV charger or even a basic plug option, which seems like a miss for a newer property. The room felt small for the price, and nearby non-Marriott hotels can offer more space. Mine was a corner room with a 90 degree window facing the city mall. Not much of a view, but there was good natural light. The interior was clean and chic. The bed was comfortable, and there was a minibar and kettle. The bathroom was compact, with strong water pressure and steady heat. But the sink felt wobbly, which is concerning in a relatively new hotel. Towels seemed thin and cheap, and the mat looked and felt like a random rag that barely soaked up water. That made the experience feel cheaper. The pool is small and probably saltwater. There's a gym, but it felt under-equipped, and I couldn't find proper cycling equipment. Breakfast got chaotic. There was a queue to enter the restaurant, with lots of tour groups. As a solo guest I was assigned a table, went to get food, and returned to find someone had taken it. They use a small flip sign to mark tables as occupied, and that clearly doesn't work well at peak times. The food was fine but nothing memorable: the usual Malaysian choices like nasi lemak, stir fries, an egg station, breads, and juices. The menu stayed mostly the same each day, so it got repetitive.

Having a birthday wish written on the mirror was a lovely touch, and the rooms were cozy enough for a staycation. The furniture and amenities looked modern and clean. We picked the hotel for a birthday treat and to explore the area, and its connection to the IOI City Mall made getting around especially easy. But one of the rooms we'd booked wasn't ready. We waited more than an hour to check in, and the staff didn't sound sorry or offer a later checkout. They acted as if it wasn't a big deal, which was especially disappointing on our birthday. Once we got in, we found many supplies hadn't been replenished, including shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and tissues. We had to contact housekeeping, and waiting for them disrupted our plans.

Once we were settled, the stay was comfortable, clean, and hassle-free. We were at Moxy Putrajaya for 2 nights, 3 days (20-22 Jan), and the room was well maintained. Arrival could have been better: the front desk felt less welcoming than I expected, and there wasn't a bellboy to help with our luggage, which was inconvenient. A warmer check-in and more help with bags would make the experience better.
