The caretaker is a black 🐈, whom we love. The view was magnificent, the best in my life. It's very remote, so bring your own food and cook for yourself. Getting to the market is very hard because of the extreme road conditions, unless you have a 4x4.

I came mainly for the Highland Safari@Kundasang. The room is roomy enough for two adults, and there’s no aircon or ceiling fan, just naturally cool air. It sits beside the well-known Sosodikon Hill, so you can watch people hiking through the window. The place was okay for me.

The host was sporting, and the mountain and village views are both beautiful. If you get lucky, the owner may give you a 40% discount coupon for the Sosodikon Hill hike. We had to cancel our sunrise hike because it was so cold. Our Queen room matched the photos and was clean and comfortable, with space for two adults and at least one small child. We booked two rooms for one night through OYO for Rm135. The usual walk-in rate is Rm100, so Rm70-80 would already be a cheap deal. The road in is pretty rough, so take it slowly as the villagers advise. This homestay may not suit people who expect everything to be perfect, but for us it was worth the money and a nice place to appreciate what we have.
