We had a large family room with enough space for all six of us. We were travelling from Kudat to Tawau and stopped in Ranau for a night’s rest. The water heater and air conditioning worked well, and the bed was comfortable enough for us to sleep well.
The cleanliness was moderate but okay, and the toilet was good. The TV had a few channels. We had a family room even though there were only two of us, so there was lots of space. Some people might find the price a little high, but I still found it affordable. It’s within walking distance of daily coffee and kedai serving soto, and right next to watson, a nice bonus for me ☺️. If you’re after views, natural scenery, or a break from city noise, this may not be the place for you.
One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. It wasn’t worth the price. The TV only had one broadcast, and at night the air conditioning, bathroom light, and heater were turned off. It was hot and really hard to sleep. Just imagine, only one light switch worked. I wouldn’t recommend it for families. Better to stay in a homestay.
The room was okay, but there were insects, including ants on the floor and by the toilet sink. I hate insects because my skin is sensitive, but I still managed to get through the two-night stay.
I booked a family room by phone, and a staff member called back to confirm it. But when we arrived at 3am, they said it was sold out. I was really angry at how foolishly they handled the booking. The hotel was in bad shape too. My family and I, including my elderly mother, struggled to find a room that day and couldn’t find one.
