The room and its mesmerising view made a strong impression on me, and the staff were friendly and gave us a really great room. I also loved how the hotel sits near the main area, so most tourist spots weren't far away. I fell for kundasang during the stay and would definitely come back.

The morning mist and fresh highland air made for a peaceful stay, with lovely views of Mount Kinabalu. Perkasa Hotel Kundasang is well placed for nearby attractions, and it suited time spent relaxing or enjoying nature with family and friends. It left me with sweet memories of a calm holiday.

Our chalet was clean and roomy, though costly for what it offered, especially since Sabah is expensive. It sits on pillars about 150 m from the main building, across the road and over a swinging bridge. There was no aircon or heater, but the bedding kept us warm enough. The pillows, though, were hard as stones. The setting on a mountain crest faces Kinabalu, but the weather never gave us a glimpse of the mountain. With bad weather, there isn't much to do nearby beyond browsing little stalls selling local fruits and vegetables. The hotel itself is a vintage concrete building in serious need of renovation, and the access road has potholes, like most roads we drove on from KK. There was no wifi or phone in the chalet to contact reception. When we arrived, the "mycelcom" forwarder wasn't available, so we had no internet in the room. It was working pretty well again the next day. There seems to be real tourism potential here, but the infrastructure is lacking. I hope it doesn't turn into another Cameron Highlands, with ugly high-rise buildings and dilapidated plasticky greenhouses.

The valley views and cool mountain air give this renovated highland hotel a calm feel, with modern touches and plenty of greenery. There are peaceful walks around the grounds, and the nearby jambatan gantung makes for scenic photos with a little adventure. Families should enjoy it.

The refurbished room was clean and felt like new, with two TVs that had very few channels. Being up at the highest point near kundasang town made it easier to find food, and the scenery is magnificent. The cafe and other amenities were below par, with a limited food selection and only hot and cold drinks. There's no gym or proper playground. I'd call it an above-average hotel.
