The view was amazing, but it couldn’t make up for the room being unclean and extremely basic. When we arrived, we found what looked like rat droppings in several places: the bathroom, bedroom floor, chair, and table next to the coffee. We asked to move, but they said the place was full, which was fine. They then offered to clean, but only swept the floor. The door didn’t fit properly, so lots of bugs got into the room in the evening.

I’ve been here many times for work. My only complaints are the toilets. Please fix the toilet doors and replace the old bidet hose, it’s leaking badly. The staff were very helpful and responded well 👍🏻

For a trip to Kundasang Ranau Sabah, JR Resort (Jasni Rijan Resort) is a comfortable place to stay, with fresh air and beautiful views. The room facilities are simple but very satisfying. There’s a restaurant for food and drinks, open until 9 pm.

From the room balcony, the view toward the mountains is superb. You can even see the Kota Kinabalu mountain from here.

The cafe food is delicious and the drinks are really nice. Both the food and room are affordable, and the room has a beautiful view, especially from the park above. The balcony is lovely too. But we couldn’t really enjoy the view because pee smell was coming from the drain. Such a waste, since the place is so calming when it’s properly looked after. Just my two cents from my own experience ✌🏻
