We stayed one night in the 2-storey green house and felt it was very poor value for what we paid. It's right next to the strawberry homestay signboard. The two ground-floor rooms have one queen bed, and one queen plus a single bed. Only one room has a fan. The smaller room has no door, just a see-through curtain. There's one toilet. The heater worked, but the ceiling was dusty and moldy, as shown in the photo, and I saw a worm while inside. The kitchen has a working fridge, stove, water heater, cutlery and pots, but cleanliness was questionable and there were lots of ants. WiFi and a TV are provided, though the TV only has basic channels. There's a self-service laundry in front of reception, but I didn't try it because it closed at 10pm. No mini-market nearby, though I saw a small shop open for breakfast.

We could clearly see the top of Mount Kinabalu in the morning. This was a sweet, unforgettable stay in a quiet place with a peaceful village atmosphere. There's a token-operated automatic washing machine, and the mosque is close by for easy prayer.

There are two kinds of stays: a house with a kitchen, which you book directly, and a tiny house room with two queen beds and a bathroom, available through third-party apps. The tiny houses all face mount kinabalu and have a magnificent view. There's self-service laundry next to them. A cheap homestay in a good location, with a comfortable room.

From the bedroom or unit you can see Mount Kinabalu clearly, and the location is right next to Masjid Kampung Mesilau. The unit itself is clean and new. One bedsheet was torn, though, and surprisingly there was no bath soap.
