The Pampines Villa, Mount Kinabalu

The team made our stay especially easy. They were friendly, quick to respond, and accommodating, and even gave us a complimentary one-hour late checkout, which we really appreciated. Pampines Villa was clean, cozy, and well cared for, with a lovely view. It’s one of the most exciting homestays I’ve stayed in, and a great place to relax. I’d happily come back and recommend it for a memorable stay 🌄😊✨

We had dinner at L’armonia Café and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent, the food was tasty, and the signature Basque burnt cheesecake was especially good. Our two-bedroom villa was clean, spacious, and well equipped, so it was comfortable for our two days and one night. The quiet, peaceful surroundings made it a good short getaway, and the sunrise view of Mount Kinabalu was stunning. I’d recommend The Pampines Villa to anyone visiting the area and would love to return.

Dead flies outside the unit were the one problem we ran into. Workers swept them up each day, but we still had to watch carefully when opening the door so flies wouldn’t get inside. Everything else went smoothly. The view of Mount Kinabalu in the morning was the highlight and absolutely worth the stay. The place was easy to locate on Google Maps, and while the road up looks steep, it wasn’t as difficult as it seemed. We received clear self check-in instructions in advance, and check-in was simple. There were two convenient dedicated parking spaces in the basement. The unit was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our group of six, four adults and two children. I’d recommend it to families looking for a cozy place with a great view.

We’d been hoping to stay at Pampines Villa for a while, but it was always fully booked until I managed to reserve it in February this year. The view of Mount Kinabalu in the fresh early morning was stunning, and made the drive out feel worthwhile. It really exceeded my expectations. The digital keyless entry was convenient, and the on-site cafe served delicious food. The price is a bit high, but I can understand that given the distance from town. I’d come back for another relaxing getaway. If you want a peaceful place to recharge with a beautiful view, it’s worth the money.
