Hotel Jelai Raub

There was no water from 7 PM until 11 PM, and nothing had been done by then. The owner or manager seemed to take the problem lightly, and the receptionist offered no alternative or response. We paid for a service where things should be taken care of, and this showed the management lacked a contingency plan for an unexpected problem. Hotel management, please improve the service. Visitors to RAUB should avoid booking here.

Water was already out from 3:00 PM, and guests weren't notified at all before or after check-in. The owner only acted later, then admitted that water shortages happen frequently in this area, something we hadn't been told beforehand. Staff gave conflicting accounts, first saying the pump wasn't switched on because more guests arrived than expected, then saying it was damaged. That points to poor communication inside the hotel and a lack of professionalism. Confirmed bookings should show how many guests are coming, so it's unclear how the hotel wasn't prepared. Staff kept making excuses instead of offering solutions, alternatives, or a backup arrangement. There was no proper plan for dealing with the outage. With the lack of transparency, slow response, and poor service, I don't recommend this hotel and won't stay here again.

For the price, this was a really good stay. The location worked well, and the staff were friendly. I’d book here again.

Breakfast is included, which is handy for a budget hotel. Parking is paid, and you need to buy a parking coupon. The front desk staff gave great service.
