Bubblefish Water Villa

The sea all around Bubblefish Water Villa, with clear water, good food, and good service, made for a lovely, memorable stay. Staff picked us up personally and had our rooms ready. Andy made sure everything went smoothly and comfortably, booked us a place on an island hopping activity, and helped us with fun water activities. I guarantee I’ll return! 🌊🏝️🫶🏻

Our family room was new and had its own balcony, a real plus and a perfect spot for sunset. The villa owner and staff were friendly and helpful, sharing lots of information about Semporna’s sea and marine life. We were lucky to see sea turtles swimming nearby in the evening, which was amazing. My children loved snorkelling near the villa, where there were lots of star fish and crown fish families nestled in the coral, and we enjoyed kayaking too. The seafood at dinner was something we liked, though the food was a bit too salty. Less sodium would make it perfect.

The views here are incredible, and there’s plenty to do nearby. The staff were warm and helpful throughout our stay. We bought very fresh seafood and had the chefs cook it for us. Andy, the manager, was hilarious and so friendly. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great time.

We paid RM1.5k per night, and the experience was a huge disappointment. The food was bland and poor quality for that price, and the buffet didn’t feel worth what we paid. Boat sellers charged a lot for seafood too. The Wi-Fi barely worked, and loud karaoke continued until 11 pm. I was hoping to enjoy a night with my wife, but it was so noisy. There was a bad sewage or plumbing smell from the toilet, so we had to move rooms. The door across from us slammed loudly, and people in the next room kept banging it about every 30 minutes. Staff said the hinge was the problem. I couldn’t sleep at all. Please look at the photos and videos as proof. I can’t upload the karaoke videos because Google only allows photo evidence. I don’t think this place is worth your hard-earned money. The local influencer posts all over the page felt very misleading. I was extremely disappointed, and one star is the lowest I can give.
