Grand Inn Hotel

More than one cockroach in the room, and when we cancelled, the hotel refused to refund us. The facilities are old and dirty, and the reception staff have a bad attitude. They don’t listen, and you have to repeat yourself several times to get anything done, like you’re begging. The place is cheap for a reason and really isn’t suitable to stay in. After seeing the room, you may end up having to find another hotel and lose your money. An extremely awful experience.

I stayed a few nights, then lost my deposit because I checked out an hour late. I told them I was checking out and packing my things, but they never mentioned there would be a late check-out penalty.

I appreciated how the housekeeping staff went beyond their duties to help us find an iron. But there was no easy way to call reception. Our room had no towels, so at 1 a.m. I had to go downstairs to ask. The night shift guy was on his phone and didn’t even apologize. The next morning, reception was so late that we didn’t know who to ask about the iron, since they keep the record. When we checked out, reception was empty. The room also needs a bath mat, because the one provided doesn’t absorb moisture. The toilet basin in Room 202 was clogged too. The area feels a little dodgy, especially at night. DO NOT TRAVEL ALONE.

The accommodation was really bad. The toilet flooded because the drain was blocked, there were mosquitoes, and noise from construction in the next room.
