The location was fine, but the room felt overpriced for how dirty it was. There was a musty smell, and the mattress was damp and smelled the same. I also found dirt behind the bathroom door and hair stuck to the wall.

Breakfast was limited to fried rice, noodles, and a few sides, and the facilities were minimal. The beds creaked whenever I turned over. The rooms were just adequate for a night or two. I also noticed prices in Semporna seemed to have risen more than in West Malaysia. Along the side lanes, many young children were begging, which made it seem to me that the government wasn't doing anything about it.

Dinner was a good place to start, and the food tasted nice. The high setting had beautiful scenery too. The staff were friendly and very cooperative, with smiles and nice service.

The staff were nice. The hotel is a little worn out and sits outside Semporna town, around a 10-minute walk away. That distance may not be a bad thing.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and the jetty area has great seafood places if you're in the mood for lobster. The location is superb. The room was basic but modern and quite nice, with no fridge or safe. Breakfast was simple, three dishes a day. It's not the best option in town, but it was good enough for a few nights and good value for money.
