The room was very clean and quiet, with perfectly working air conditioning. I noticed a few tiny ants, but that seems part of the environment here, and this is still one of the cleanest places. I also appreciated having a washing machine and somewhere to hang clothes. The host was incredibly welcoming and friendly. He suggested a great breakfast spot and his favorite place for dinner, which turned out fantastic. He also arranged transport to and from Tawau Airport, making things very convenient. There’s a fire extinguisher in the hallway, two iron gates at the entrance, and a traditional key lock on the room. The host is always at the property, which made it feel very safe. Downstairs, the roti keju with curry sauce and sambal was surprisingly delicious. The food court he recommended had lots of choice. I loved the smooth draft beer, light and tasty Hakka tofu, tender and flavorful lamb satay, and the Singapore-style fried vermicelli was quite good too. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay with great local tips and hospitality.

The rooms are very clean, and the name « the nest » really fits how it feels to stay here. William is an amazing host, professional and quick when booking tours or diving sessions. He’s also always up for a good talk, a good time, and a party, and really becomes a friend from day one. I highly recommend this place for any kind of stay.

The room was clean and tidy, and definitely worth the price. The Owner is an amazing person, and I definitely recommend him. He helped us check in early even though we were very early, so we didn’t have to wait outside.

The staff were so helpful and knew the area really well. The place is tidy and convenient, and I’d choose this hostel again. Thanks to the staff for all the help.
