The rooftop view is stunning, and the location makes getting around easy: the seafood market is five minutes away, the Marine Visitor Center ten, and Haifeng Wharf fifteen on foot. There are loads of restaurants and places for drinks within 300 meters. The rooms aren't great, but for the price they feel worth the four-star rating. The front desk staff, who also manage the hotel, were especially friendly and helpful, suggesting good food and fun things to do.

The staff were nice, but the room had an unpleasant smell and the bathroom was dirty. The only way up is by stairs, and getting heavy bags to the fourth floor is a real struggle, even for younger guests. I hope Monalisa gives customers honest information about this, because how is an elderly person using a wheelchair supposed to get to the fourth floor?

The room was small but very clean, and there was even a washing machine. Reception was incredibly friendly. The location is great, about a 10-minute walk to both piers and five minutes to the KFC across the street for durian. A really pleasant stay!
