Moonlight Inn Semporna

The room was spacious, the toilet was very clean, and the price was affordable. The owner also gave us free breakfast during our 3D2N stay. It's well placed for walking to the market, bus station, and jetty. We could watch the sunset from the rooftop, though tall buildings blocked the view. There is good security, with a key card needed to open the downstairs door. There is no allocated parking, and since the hotel is on the second floor, hauling big luggage upstairs was hard for me.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were very helpful. They have a kitchen for cooking and a BBQ spot on the rooftop. The amenities were great too. Through their company Gary & O'Neill Scuba, they offer Fundive, Snorkeling, and Discover Scuba Diving packages. I had a great stay at Moonlight Inn and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Semporna.

Gary was super friendly, spoke very good English, and was available in person or on WhatsApp. He can arrange diving, snorkeling, and airport transfers, and helped us with information and fair prices for trips, including Sipandan. Randy, who helped out, didn't speak much English but was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was simple, with Chinese congee, boiled eggs, and toast, and there were free towels and a dispenser for hot and cold water. My boyfriend and I stayed in a double room with a private bathroom. It was big, cozy, and well organized, with universal E-plugs beside the bed and a clothes rack, hangers, and shelves. There was also a long cushioned bench, plus a small desk and chair, which were handy for clothes and little things. The rooftop has a nice sea view. The shared area was large, with two kitchens and a fridge; the upper floor had an especially big open space with fans and two AC units. Shoes are left outside, and the rooms and floors were kept really clean. The price was good for what we got.

The rooms are thoughtfully set up and the location is great. The AC worked perfectly, and having free cold water to refill our bottles was a big plus. A cheap, amazing place to stay in Semporna, highly recommend.
