The room itself was nice, but there was noise both inside and outside. The electricity installation made noise indoors, and the neighbourhood was noisy outside, so a room without a window might be better. We’d booked breakfast for 7.00, but nobody arrived on time. They offered to send us to a restaurant, but by then it was too late. We left hungry because we’d counted on them.

DON’T DO IT We booked a tour through them at 9pm the night before, and made it clear that hiking at Bohey Dulang was our priority. On arrival, we were told there would be no hike because it had rained the night before. I asked whether they told the tour companies, and they said they had let them know the previous night. Yet he still let us book after being told there would be no hiking. If we’d known it was cancelled, we could have gone the next day. Instead, we left very unhappy. They’d also said all the equipment was included, but they only had one set of fins. And the young guy from the boat followed us everywhere. Wherever we walked, he came along. I got up and moved, and he followed me to the next place I sat. It was very unsettling, and he couldn’t understand when I said, “please don’t follow me anymore”. I wouldn’t recommend the place. They seem after money rather than customer satisfaction.

The town has water problems, which was a downside. The location was very convenient for food, the supermarket and the jetty, and they arranged island hopping for us. The boat crews were great.

Boss ah lai is really friendly. I enjoyed the tour and found the crew experienced. I’d recommend their tour package since it should be much cheaper.
