Urban Inn, Salak Tinggi

There isn't much around the hotel, the room is tiny, and there's no lift. The worst part was the noise: loud knocking and drilling started early in the morning and carried on, so my kids couldn't sleep all day. I called reception, but the Malay staff member said she couldn't do anything. The room phone didn't work either, so we had to call on our own mobile. Customer service was poor, and staying here felt like a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend it.

After a long flight, we couldn't get any rest because drilling and hammering from renovation work at a neighboring shop went on constantly on Sunday. Reception said they'd report it to management, but nothing changed. We understand the work might not have been under the hotel's control, but we were paying guests and expected them to respond more actively, perhaps by moving us to another room or finding some other way to reduce the impact. They offered no immediate fix or alternative, which made the stay really frustrating.

Room 118 was clean and comfortable, with fresh towels, a tidy bed, and a clean toilet. The biggest surprise was how nice the room smelled, not musty at all. I'd recommend it, especially for being near the airport.

For $20, I thought this was a great deal. The hotel is very clean, and a taxi to the airport took 15-20 minutes and cost 30 ringgit. There's a cafe near the hotel, though the main menu is only ready at 10.30 am. The room looked like the photos on the Agoda app when I arrived. Excellent choice.
