OYO 287 Hotel Seremban Jaya

Be careful if you stay here. I paid for a deluxe king after walking in, but they gave me a key for a superior queen. The access card didn’t work, so I had to ask reception to open the door each time. Then staff said they’d given us the wrong room and claimed we hadn’t paid or checked in, even though we’d already been in the room and left our belongings there. They kept us waiting in the lobby for over 20 minutes. They told us to request a refund from the hotel the next day for the difference. When I asked the new staff member, I got a rude “No Refund Policy” and questions about how they could refund a card payment. Different staff gave different advice; one joked that maybe the person was new. When I pushed for an answer, he apologized and said I could leave a review or complaint if I wanted. The staff were disrespectful and uneducated. They may be scamming your money. Even if it’s a small amount, money is still money.

The beds were very comfortable, and we had a great stay. The front desk men were welcoming and even helped my husband and me carry our luggage to the third floor. If stairs are difficult for you, you may need to request a ground floor room. The bathroom tiles are slippery, so I’d suggest wearing nonslip slippers to avoid accidents.

We stayed at this hotel during an emergency, and the experience was awful. The floor was dusty, the bathroom was leaking, and the room smelled bad. The air conditioner was noisy, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and the light wouldn’t turn on. Worst!

The superior twin room was clean and huge. The hotel was generally clean, well maintained, and free of bad smells. There are lots of nearby places to eat, both halal and non-halal. Recommended.
