Hotel Putra Iskandar

This was the worst hotel check-in experience I've had. I wouldn't recommend it for a family stay, or for anything other than “merendek.” The toilet was filthy, with grime and buildup, and the bedsheets were so stained that I doubted they'd been changed between guests. The room was dusty too. When we first went in, there was dust and hair all over the floor, so we had to ask for a broom and clean it ourselves. It was really unsettling.

Getting to the main road, shops, and food was easy, and the location was good. The room itself was a letdown: it didn't look like the photo and was dirty. The bathroom needs a serious clean, the heater didn't work, and just one TV channel was available.

The owner was quick to respond when we reported the hot shower problem. They fixed things promptly and apologized, and were very open to criticism. Before that, the floor was dusty, the curtains weren't hung properly, and our bedsheet had greyish stains.

The staff were warm, and they even let me store our fruit in their fridge until checkout. The location is very central, right in the middle of town, with almost everything you need nearby. For what I paid, it was cheap and better than I expected.
