The location worked well for my workspace that week, and the whole team gave great service. Mr. Rabbi cleaned both our rooms carefully, kept the water topped up, and changed the towels as needed. At the front office, Cik Maz was friendly, dependable, and great at solving problems. It’s been a long time since I met a hotelier with such a good service attitude.

The security guard and the man handling the front desk by himself were both very helpful, as was the buggy driver taking us to and from the mines shopping mall. The event staff and training manager were helpful too, and tables were cleared quickly at breakfast and lunch. Breakfast was let down by a very unfriendly, surly lady at the entrance. Housekeeping was poor. They only pulled up the blanket and left the pillows tossed on the bed, and when we returned in the evening, the previous night’s dishes were still there. A tissue behind a chair and empty bottles on the table hadn’t been cleared either. The shower tap was faulty but was dealt with promptly after we complained, though there were no face towels. The air-conditioning still wasn’t cool even after we complained, and the bed could have been better. It’s a nice hotel, though a little run down. I just wish the bed had been better.

On my first visit, the place felt very old, though manageable for a cheap stay. The second time, cleanliness seemed better. By my third visit, staying in the villa was really bad. The reception and security staff have been polite across my three stays, and parking is good, but traffic and the route in are poor. At night, a mouse kept rummaging through the bin in the room. The shower knob handle was broken, and when I asked the service crew to maintain it, they came over and put it back in its broken state instead of actually fixing it. The bathtub had an obvious patch that felt unsafe to step on. Cleaning was especially bad, and I wonder if there are too few cleaners and too much work to finish each room in limited time. I hope the hotel gets a proper professional handyman and refurbishes the many things that need it. The villa floor feels unsafe and very thin, even worse than the wooden flooring in a kampung house, which feels thick.

The welcome at check-in was warm, and the room was comfortable. There was a good selection of tasty food, and the courteous, attentive staff were always ready with a smile, which made the place feel inviting. I had a peaceful, enjoyable getaway here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends, colleagues, or family, whether they’re visiting for work or leisure.
