Check-in went smoothly, and the whole property is well looked after. The place was clean, tidy, and had all the facilities we needed. The pool and playground were in good shape and great for families. Sejadah and kiblat were provided too. Very good.

The pool was great and felt safe, and the gym and other facilities were good. I preferred Alinea for those amenities because Acapella Suites has kayaking in the pool, which felt unsafe. The location is handy, with restaurants, a convenience store, a bank, and Shah Alam Mosque nearby, but the roadside gets very noisy around midnight from Mat Rempit. Acapella Suites has more variety around it. I spent two nights there with young kids in a Studio Queen Deluxe. It felt more like an apartment than a proper hotel or suite. Compared with Acapella Suites at the same price and room type, the room here was smaller, though clean, and had no partition. Acapella Suites was more spacious and had a partition. The parking bays here were smaller, though there were plenty; I preferred the more spacious parking at Acapella Suites. There was no hotel lobby, and I had to deal with Bangla about the deposit. We argued over the money and I got no receipt, so I preferred Acapella Suites. Amenities were limited too: mineral water came in a cup, with no coffee, and there were only towels and tissue for toiletries. Acapella Suites had a spacious closet, coffee maker, and a full set of toiletries.

The room was clean and roomy, with space for a family of 8 to hang out in front of the TV. The ice they provided was really handy, the hot shower worked well, the toilet was spotless, and the aircond kept things cool. It felt worth the money, and I’d happily stay again if I get the chance. No need to pay hotel prices for the same cosy feel. The owner was super friendly and quick to respond whenever something came up.

The facilities and building deserve five stars. The lobby is beautiful, the pool is stunning, and the gym is impressive. Security, corridors, and elevators were all outstanding too. My three-star rating is about the unit itself. It has now been a month since I got the keys to my first home, and I still can’t move in or continue renovations because of poor workmanship. The walls are uneven and rough, several tiles are broken, including some near the bed, and there are extensive metal scratches on the floor tiles. The wardrobe is dented, bathroom grout is incomplete, and the doors are scratched with uneven paint. Some problems were fixed within days of my report, while others have taken weeks. I feel a quality inspector should have caught and fixed these before handover. It’s hard to understand how a home could be given to me with these defects. It seems quality checks may have had little attention, with finishing quickly treated as the priority. Visiting every day and seeing the place still empty has been incredibly frustrating while I wait for repairs. Future owners should inspect their units carefully. I hope my case is isolated. Thank you, Eng Han Group. If you’re having defects fixed, make sure you have protective things like dust sheets ready to cover your belongings. Contractors often don’t take care of the property, even when the room is spotless and contains private items. UPDATE (5/12/24): I’m extremely angry and disappointed about what happened today. The main contractor came into my unit without consent and started work again, a month after fixing major damage. They came back because their earlier carelessness had caused more defects. The worst part was the lack of communication. Over the four weeks since the first repairs, I’d fully furnished and decorated the home. I’d spent more than 10K on grouting, floor polishing, daily dust cleaning, and new decor. I’d asked two weeks ago for the tile hacking to be cancelled, but the main contractor went ahead and hacked the tiles today without telling me or giving me a chance to prepare. The person in charge and the contractor clearly weren’t coordinating, and that’s unacceptable. Dust is now all over the curtains, bed, clothes, expensive floor lamp, kettle, utensils, and furniture. They even left the fan running, spreading it everywhere. I had no chance to move or protect my things. This was completely disrespectful. After weeks of cleaning and decorating, my home has been messed up by such inconsiderate actions. Am I supposed to live and sleep in all this dust? I now have to clean everything again, wash my belongings, and put the place back together because of this negligence. PIR of Alinea or EH Property, please communicate better with homeowners and contractors. You can’t expect us to leave our homes empty or let work proceed without proper notice and coordination. Completely unacceptable.

A good property for investment. It’s near LRT Dato Menteri station and the city bus station, with places of interest, government offices, banks, and Lake Park all within walking distance.
