The one real hassle was parking. There’s no dedicated guest parking, so finding a space nearby can take some effort. Aside from that, our year-end visit with friends went smoothly from check-in to check-out. The location is right in the city centre, within walking distance of the waterfront for a morning run. The hotel has two entrances, with an access card needed for one, and the elevator worked efficiently. Our room was a comfortable size and had the essentials, including a kettle, hairdryer, dental kits, towels and body wash. I especially liked the strong shower pressure. Having an in-house café was handy when we wanted to eat without going out after a long day. It was a pleasant stay, and I’d come back if I’m in town again.

My go-to budget hotel whenever I travel to Sibu. The modern furniture and concept are nice, and it’s right in the middle of town, close to lots of shops and places to eat.

There’s a shared area on L1 where you can refill water and relax. The room was fairly clean and, though not large, was just right for a short visit. It’s near the Rejang River, with plenty of food spots and bakeries around.

The rooms are cramped, and some units have an extremely tiny bathroom basin. Getting to the town centre also means taking a car. There are lots of eateries nearby, including the hotel’s own Outright Coffee and Bakemore Bakery, along with other restaurants and cafes within walking distance. If you rent a car, there’s a rental place across the street. A few things made the stay frustrating. At check-in, the receptionist couldn’t find my name. It took a while to work out that the booking was listed under my roommate’s name. A nearby building or shop alarm went off at 2am on two nights in a row. The air-conditioning control was awkward too. You can only set it to 23 Celsius at first, and the staff suggested leaving it there for half an hour before turning it lower to cool the room. That approach isn’t guaranteed to work.

A nice place to stay with lots of food choices nearby. Parking can be hard to find, though, and events get really loud.
