OYO 90087 Warisan Motel

The room was clean and comfortable, but the price was higher than other motels nearby. Noise was the worst part of my stay. A shop facing the motel played karaoke and served beer, with the singing carrying on until midnight. I was there for work and had to get up early the next day, but the noise kept me from sleeping well. This was my first stay here, and I think it'll be my last.

The room itself was quiet despite noisy karaoke at a nearby cafe, so that didn't disturb me. The TV didn't work, though. I had to ask for soap and toilet roll, and there was a used face towel left in the room. The room was otherwise okay.

The room wasn't fully soundproof, and noise from the hallway woke me a few times. The stay was okay overall, and they did accept me as a walk-in. I'd booked through Agoda without paying because it said payment could be made at the counter, but at check-in the receptionist said the booking had already been cancelled because their contract with Agoda had expired. The walk-in rate was a bit higher than the online price.

The location is convenient, near Sipitang town. I paid RM85 for a twin room, and it felt homey, with shoes kept outside the motel and a water dispenser in the lobby. The room had towels, shampoo and soap, a water heater, a glass and teaspoon, and a TV with a limited selection of Astro channels.
