Ohana Homestay by OYO Rooms

I stayed three nights and there was no housekeeping, so they didn’t clean the room the next day. They also didn’t top up the drinking water, and the toilet pipe was broken. Really bad service.

We couldn’t sleep properly all night. The room needs better soundproofing because we could hear guests talking at the nearby restaurant, and there were what sounded like Tom and Jerry chasing each other above our ceiling. The pillow was hard as a stone, the mattress felt like a rocking boat, and the air conditioner was noisy. Both room toilets had a small hole in the ceiling.

This was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. The staff were arrogant, and room prices kept changing, with extra money required. If you’re thinking of staying here, think it over several times. Ohana is a big Chinese restaurant.

It’s a nice little resort-style hotel, with a restaurant on the premises serving a variety of food and drinks. Give it a try if you’re ever in Sitiawan.
