Oyo 89444 Sam Hotel

We left the next morning, but the hotel refused to refund the extra two nights we’d paid for. At checkout, only housekeeping was around, with no hotel admin staff, and we eventually had to reach someone to ask. Check-in was meant to be at 2pm, yet our rooms still weren’t ready when we arrived at 5pm. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke despite no-smoking signs, and the smell kept coming into the room overnight. By morning it was so strong we were coughing as we packed. There were no towels or toilet paper, and we found a cockroach in the bathroom. The room was dirty, with hair in the bed, so I doubt the sheets had been changed. It had only a small desk and TV, and the air conditioner rattled loudly all night. This was the worst hotel experience, an absolute joke. Please don’t book here, there are better hotels literally 100 metres away.

At least five baby cockroaches were crawling around the bed and in the bathroom. The bed sheet, mattress, and pillowcase were covered in blood stains. There was no shower gel or toilet paper, and the TV didn’t work. When I complained to the people in charge, who looked like an Indonesian couple, the man said they’d tried but the stains were very hard to remove. He said the cockroaches were already living there and asked how they could remove them. They need pest control, dude!

For RM80 a night, I expected the basics to be clean, but they weren't. The room was dusty and smelled awful, and the sheets were stained. There was blood on the blanket, so we changed the bedding ourselves. Easily the worst hotel I've stayed in.

The noise from the workers kept going, and there was a strong cigarette smell. The room itself was filthy and smelled terrible, with dirty sheets and blood stains on the blanket. They didn't leave any amenities, so we had to ask for every item. A miserable stay, and I was completely disappointed.
