Cozy Homestay at Main Place

After 10 months here, I can't wait to move out. The place has nostalgia for some, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. Getting around and getting home can wear you down. The walk from the LRT is about 10 minutes, then the lifts can take another 20 minutes on average. If you work 9-5, that could be exhausting after a few months. The walk back also feels sketchy, especially at night when few shops are open. For Block C, moving in is a hassle: you need at least two elevators, with a 10-minute walk between them, and each lift can take around 20 minutes. Residents sometimes keep pressing buttons and delay the lift at every floor. The lifts are hot with no air conditioning, and the buttons are dirty, as if they haven't been cleaned in years. Driving isn't much easier. The traffic light at USJ can hold you up for 20 minutes during peak hour just after leaving the condo. Getting down to KL is a pain too, since you have to pass through jammed areas to reach most highways. If you drive often, this isn't a good location. The gym is filthy and dated. Noise is another problem: Jalan Subang is right beside the building, and wannabe motor racers make a lot of noise around 1-2am. The floors and ceilings are old, with poor insulation, so you may hear a naughty upstairs neighbour too.

The admin counter staff need proper training in respectful communication with residents. Courtesy and basic manners matter, and residents deserve to be treated professionally and with respect.

I moved in three months ago and live outside, so I rarely come home. When I do, I like to shower at the swimming pool at night, when I finally have time to myself. But there's a night-shift security guard who keeps trying to talk to me, and it's annoying enough to ruin the mood and make me regret staying here. He told me I hadn't been registering my name and card number before showering. I haven't forgotten to register, so the accusation seemed ridiculous. I don't know if his superiors told him to say this or if he decided it himself, but he said he'd monitor my behavior for three months to see whether I registered. As a legal resident, I have the right to give an honest review. I hope management looks into this. I'll come back and check whether they still claim I haven't been registering.

The location is convenient and very accessible to the mall, but I'm deeply disappointed with management. They helped the owner evict us without any legal letters, and the security staff helped shut off our electricity at 3am. We tried to tell them that this was illegal, but they wouldn't listen. They were no help at all and acted unprofessionally.
