My Sj Hotel

For a short stay, the room was affordable, clean, and fairly spacious, with a clean bathroom too. The shower barely had any pressure, and the Wi-Fi and TV kept cutting out. What bothered me most was the noise next door: people kept going in and out and talking outside the room in the middle of the night. I don't know what they were doing. Still, it was okay overall.

There are plenty of good places to eat and nice shops nearby, and breakfast is included, though it's a simple one. My room had no window and was small, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern, tidy, and clean. The air conditioning worked well.

The room and bathroom were clean, the TV and air conditioning worked, and there was a water dispenser near our room. I liked the light perfume scent when we walked in. The staff also noticed I was struggling with a sports injury on the stairs and moved us from the second floor to the first, which made things much easier since there’s no elevator. My wife, toddler, and I were only there for one night. The bed was too soft for me, especially at the edge, and I nearly fell off four times. Then something strange happened around 1 AM. I heard my wife's handbag hit the floor, tried to ignore it, and then heard another bag fall with the same sound. It seemed as if someone had picked it up and dropped it again. I went back to sleep, but the next morning my wife asked if I’d heard the bags fall twice too. We both had. It was a comfortable stay with a pretty spooky moment, and we still liked the hotel.

The hotel is in a handy spot, about a two-minute walk from SS15 LRT station, with lots of restaurants nearby. Staff were nice and usually at the desk. My ground-floor single room was decent, though a bit small. The bathroom was spacious and had the facilities I needed. Sound carries badly between rooms, so I could hear people walking and talking. I'd recommend asking for an upper-floor room.
