Nginap Hotel

The room smelled strongly of smoke. Cleanliness needs to improve.

The location is a plus, lively during the day. At night, though, the surrounding area can feel quiet, dark, and a bit unsafe. The access card wouldn’t open the main door, so I had to wait for a staff member to let me in. The lobby was dark after hours, and staff might or might not be there. The hotel has a nice boutique design, but upkeep could be better. Housekeeping was a little sloppy: the sheet in my room was stained, and on the first night I wasn’t given a bath towel or a full roll of toilet paper. The staff were friendly and helpful otherwise.

We booked a twin room for a business trip, but got a bathroom with a glass door and no lock, which seems more suited to honeymooning couples. The air-conditioning also barely cooled the room and kept switching itself off.

There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and clinics nearby, and Taipan LRT is about a 10-minute walk away. Hotel Nginap has a fun music and movie theme, and our twin room was a decent size, with enough wardrobe space and proper wooden hangers for two or three people. The desk came in handy, and there were lots of power sockets. Water pressure and hot water were good. Staff helped when needed, though there were no coffee or tea bags. The TV and safe didn't work, and housekeeping wasn't provided. A decent stay if you're not too fussy.
