I wanted to experience staying in a Rumah orang Melayu and had thought I'd need to go to Melaka for that. By luck, I got the chance here instead. We stayed Dec 21st - Dec 23rd 2025 in a standard room in the Room of the Rumah Orang Melayu concept, which has an attached bathroom. We didn't choose the Time Capsule because its bathroom is separate, and we have a 3 years old daughter. The owner, a Malay lady, was generous and kind. Since we had our daughter and it wasn't peak time, she offered us a larger room with 2 queen sized bed so there'd be more space for her. I guess there were fewer bookings because it was monsoon season. With the Time Capsule Room Bbq area free, my wife set it up so we could celebrate my birthday there. We cooked and cut a cake. It was a wonderful experience, staying close to nature and in a "Rumah Orang Melayu". I think the stay was great because of the owner's kindness and generosity.

I chose the Parallel Discovery Room for one night, the most expensive option here, and enjoyed it a lot. It has a jacuzzi, an attached toilet and free BBQ utensils. There is only one unit of this room, so I'm just talking about my stay in it, not the Capsules, which I haven't tried. I was told the Capsules are like literal camping, with shared toilets, so check the details before booking. The glamping concept appealed to me, but there are camping drawbacks too: mosquitoes, insects, a mossy environment and furniture that ages easily in the warm, damp weather. We were in the middle of a tropical rainforest, so damp surroundings are part of nature, and I loved what nature offered. For me, the vibe and aesthetic were worth the money. We had a BBQ, slept under the trees during daytime, looked around and strolled as far as the abandoned MH airplane. The night view was amazing. It was a lovely break from city life, and next time I visit, I want to try the traditional classic Kampung house.

The capsule was cozy, there wasn't a single mosquito in sight, and the rainforest view was great. But the helper who lives right next to the capsules made the stay especially good. My husband and I checked in very late, around 10 pm, and she helped us even though it was raining. She let us use the inside washrooms, ordered food for us when we were hungry, and when our tyre got punctured and was extremely tricky to get off, she and her husband did everything they could to fix it. They're the most helpful, genuine and generous people I've ever met. I had a great stay ❤️

Friendly staff and free parking. Lin Ming Village isn't far away, and this unique place is a nice choice if you like being close to nature. The space is small, just one double bed, for a simple, minimal stay. The bathroom is shared, so anyone very particular about cleanliness may not find it suitable.

The caretaker was the one bright spot. She made sure we had what we needed for the BBQ and cleared leaves from the walkway so no one would slip. Otherwise, the stay was very damp, uncomfortable and poorly maintained, with a big difference between the photos and what we found. We hike and camp outdoors, so we're used to nature and rustic places, but this wasn't that. The unit smelled strongly musty and earthy, and the air felt wet all night. The AC kept switching between cold and warm without properly dehumidifying. By morning, even our jeans and other clothes were damp, and sleeping had been uncomfortable. The photos don't seem recent and look like they may be from when the property first opened. Facilities seemed old and not well maintained: an old kettle and rice cooker, a water heater that didn't work properly, and very slow water flow for the jacuzzi. If you want a dry, comfortable, well maintained stay, I wouldn't recommend this. It badly needs dehumidifiers and proper maintenance.
