Encorp Marina Puteri Harbour by Stayrene

The 23rd-floor corner unit had lovely views over the sea and Singapore, and the cost was reasonable. Puteri Harbour is just opposite, nice for a walk morning or night. There's a mamak restaurant and 24-hour convenience store on the ground floor. Legoland is around a 10-minute drive away. We chose the place for Legoland, but would have liked more food choices at night and easier access to a convenience store. Our three-bedroom apartment was comfortable and acceptably clean. We rented two bedrooms, with the third locked, and there were kitchen utensils for takeaway meals. Room service food was nice and affordable. There are two food shops and a minimart downstairs, where food is even cheaper. The stay overall was good for the price. The weak spot was service. This is an Airbnb, so there's no service or daily housekeeping. Check-in was manual, following WhatsApp steps, and we collected the key from a mailbox. We had to take out our own rubbish and replace the bag provided by management. First-time visitors may get confused finding the basement free parking entrance, which is just after Almas Suite, and the lifts, since only one public lift is available and the others are locked.

The room itself was good, and I wasn't in a rush to get in. Still, I regret staying under UHA MANAGEMENT. I'd booked earlier, but they didn't tell me about their rules until the last minute, when they asked for a RM 200/ SGD 80 security deposit on a room priced at rm 160++. Had I known the rules, I could have chosen another unit. They put guests in a WhatsApp group to share stay details. Management sent templates explaining what they'd charge if something went wrong, but no clear directions for finding the unit, just one long paragraph. I had to search row by row to locate it. The room was the only part that felt worth the money. The toilet smelled and the bowl had yellow stains. There was CCTV inside the house, though they said it wasn't working. They couldn't even provide basic toiletries, only 2 towels and 2 tiny bottles of body gel and shampoo. Luckily, we had our own things. We were on a long holiday in JB, and this was by far the worst. With all the rules, I couldn't relax. The shower heater worked at night but not in the morning, and management couldn't explain the simple switch I asked about. I don't know how AGODA lets them list the unit. The condo is pretty old, over 10 years, and poorly managed. Avoid it at all cost.

The view was lovely, and I really liked the 24-hour food court. The bed and pillows were great too 🤭. All at a reasonable price.

The management office seems inefficient, and maintenance is getting worse. The carpark and lift lobby lights have gone unfixed for weeks, so you have to walk in complete darkness. Some days, rubbish hasn't been collected for three days.
