The room was okay, and the bedsheets and towel were clean. There was a table with cigarette burn marks, a large water stain on the wall and an old cigarette butt in the toilet. The location is good, near lots of hawker centres, with a 7-Eleven two streets away. The hotel has a lift and a water dispenser only on the ground floor. Check-in was at 1 pm, with a $50 deposit and tourism or heritage tax to pay. The road can be a little noisy at night, and the rubbish truck collects the hawkers' previous day's rubbish at 3:40 am every day. The collection point is right beside the hotel, so light sleepers should expect interrupted sleep.

I had booked two rooms for two nights, but had to change my plans suddenly and check out early. The receptionist said she should forfeit my deposit because housekeeping needed to clean the rooms. Why? I had already paid for them, so they could just leave the rooms empty until tomorrow.

Parking is available, and there's a surau on level 5. The room was clean, with hot water, Wi-Fi that wasn't very strong but was okay, a kettle, mineral water, soap, toilet paper and a lift. Prices are reasonable. Lots of places are close by: Chinese and Malay food courts, the market, Eco shop, shopping mall, tudung gallery shop, Saigon coffee shop, KFC and a Malay boutique. Recommended.

A polite receptionist gave me good directions and food suggestions, and the room was small but fine for the affordable price. My trip during PH was unplanned, and with the crowds I couldn't get a room beforehand. I found Axlite Hotel on Google and they had one available. The surprise came at 1:30 AM, when there was a loud knock at my door. It turned out to be JAKIM, if I'm remembering right, with three or four people there to check the room. I was alone and so shocked, especially after getting back exhausted from a long journey. It was quite funny, and definitely an experience I won't forget.

Good for a short stay, and the price feels right. The room and toilet were clean, with a towel ready, hot water, a kettle, TV and a comfortable bed. There's a Coway unit on the ground floor. Hawker food, halal and non-halal, is just a walk away, and the hotel has private parking, so I wasn't worried about leaving my car there.
