Casavilla Hotel by OYO Rooms

The huge flying cockroaches were the worst part, and honestly, pretty frightening. The rooms at Taiping Old City are dated, which I could have accepted, but the hallway light was broken and flickering and they didn’t fix it. Broken furniture was left as it was too.

I wouldn’t bring my family here. There’s no lift, the unit felt unsafe, and the toilet smelled bad. The mattress was old and the sheets were dirty. Cooking smells inside the hotel, along with noisy Bangladesh people talking on the phone at night, made it worse. The receptionist seemed untrained and unprofessional, and didn’t seem to understand the job. I can’t think of anything good to say. It doesn’t deserve even one star.

The location is handy, close to a food court, KFC and a mall, and parking is available. But the corridor lighting was dim, there was a bad smell, and I saw spider webs. We got a cheap offer, then ended up paying more to get a better room. The front office staff weren’t friendly.

Even after I showed proof that I’d already paid through Booking. Com, they still made me pay RM 3.
