I paid in full months ahead after booking early, but when I arrived there was nobody at reception. I called and was told the hotel was fully booked and would refund me. They left me without a room at the last minute, during peak season in Tai Ping when the other hotels were full. Think of an elderly traveller, or a family with young children, stranded in the evening. The owners said, casually, “It's full, we know you booked. We give you a refund”. They acted as if nothing was wrong and customers didn’t matter. To me it looks like they care only about money, even if their mistake leaves people out on the street. Stay away from this awful hotel. Looking at earlier reviews, this apparently isn’t the first time they’ve pulled this stunt. It seems they’ve cancelled multiple bookings on their own and stranded travellers before. Do you want to arrive in Tai Ping expecting a straightforward check-in, only to find your booking cancelled for no reason and have to frantically find a room? Travellers deserve better than this. Agoda, Trip.com, and Booking.com should take note. If you allow hotels that behave this way on your platforms, you’re the ones losing.
