Check-in and check-out were easy, with controlled access, and there’s a pantry on every floor. I stayed one night after camping nearby because I wanted a hot shower. For the price, it was super clean and comfortable, with a very orderly feel. They provide everything, but there are rules posted everywhere, enough to make the place feel a bit rigid, like a walled garden. Still, that’s a good tradeoff for a restful place. There’s no open-air balcony as a shared spot to use your own hiking stove for a quick meal, so you have to use the provided microwave. The private room has no real ventilation apart from a fan and an indoor window. Maybe I’m nitpicking, but the owner should double-check the grammar on all the printed signs. With so many tourists staying here, you’d think they’d want to get that right.

Everything worked out fine in the private room, even with the shared bathroom. I did have to leave my bicycle outside for the first time in three months, but it felt safe enough.

We joined one of the daily tours, the half-day one, and our guide was amazing. The staff were so friendly, the beds comfortable, and the place was kept clean. They also have free local tea. I highly recommend this hostel!

The staff were extraordinary and really looked after me when I injured my ankle, doing whatever they could to make things comfortable. The room was spotless and comfortable, with good water pressure. There are nice common areas, plus free hot and cold water, tea, and a microwave and refrigerator on every floor. One of the best places I've stayed in ages. I'd come back anytime, and definitely recommend it.

I had a single room on the second floor and shared bathrooms, and everything was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I met some nice people there. There's a little pool table, some books, and a room to relax in. Nothing to complain about.
