The main drawback was a strong, lingering smell from the bathroom, probably a drainage problem. Apart from that, things were fine. I stayed last weekend during Thaipusam. There’s open-area parking, and the hotel is in Tanah Rata with lots of restaurants close by. It’s above a bar and an Indian restaurant, and you can stay in either an apartment or a hostel.
The room was quite big for the three of us, and the location is convenient, with guest parking. Still, we only got one towel even though we booked for two adults and one child, and the TV didn't work when we wanted to relax in the quiet room. There was no kettle, which made preparing milk for my child difficult, especially since we were on level 3. There’s no lift, only stairs.
We booked a family room for two adults and three children aged 12, 10 and 9, but when we arrived there were only three pillows. The room setup was one double bed and one single, which was clearly what Agoda App had arranged. I don't put all the blame on the hotel, but I also have to complain about Agoda App. The staff member at the front desk just told me it was the room I'd booked. Someone on the phone tried to help us find a room, but there was no luck during the school holiday, so we looked elsewhere.
Nice place for 2N1D at an affordable price. The outside view was lovely. Just could've used a heater, and coffee or tea in the room.
The room was non-refundable, and I didn't find it Muslim friendly. There was no private toilet in the room, just a toilet outside, and the bedsheet was dirty.
