Leisure Cove Hotel & Apartments

We found our new go-to place on Tamjung Bunga. The sea-view apartments are spacious, in a strategic location and affordable. Some reviews call the staff rude or inattentive, but that wasn't our experience. They seemed more confident speaking Malaysian and were very helpful during our stay. The laundry room was a lifesaver, and there's a convenient restaurant on the ground floor. Wholeheartedly recommended.

It's an old hotel, but clean, with a strong hot shower and working air conditioning. It's next to the beach, though swimming isn't possible because of grease or oil from fishing boats. There's plenty of parking, but it can fill up on public holidays, and you can park outside. The pool is nice, if a bit small. The nearest halal food is about 350-400 meters away, and 7e shops are around 500 meters away. Satisfied overall.

We only stayed one night, and things were good apart from two issues: the mattresses sagged, and the washed towels and bed linen were stained. I think it's time to replace the stained items. I'd definitely stay again.

The building and furniture are old, and the bathrooms have heavy stains from extensive use as well as mold. Repairs inside are done by a handyman, but not a professional.
