Sea View Paradise

The resort is right by the beach, with lovely sea views and a peaceful feel. I found it refreshing to wake up to the sound of waves and see the ocean from the room. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and beach access were excellent for relaxing during a holiday. It’s also convenient for Batu Ferringhi night market, restaurants, and tourist attractions. I had a very pleasant stay at Rainbow Paradise Beach Resort and would highly recommend it to families, couples, or solo travellers looking for a quiet beachfront stay in Penang.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the roomy sea view room was super comfortable for a relaxing holiday. The view was great. The floor could have been cleaner, though. It felt a little sticky underfoot, with small spots that looked like liquid residue, especially noticeable when walking barefoot. Parking costs a bit, around RM24-30 per day depending on where you park. Even so, I’d recommend the place for its comfort and relaxing sea view.

The sea view was the highlight for me. Waking up to it was the best part of the trip, and the hotel and room were comfortable and pleasant. Rainbow Paradise Beach Resort has a lovely location and real potential, but the service needs work. The view gets full marks. The service, unfortunately, doesn’t. There seem to be two reception counters, one with local staff and one with foreign staff, but the front desk experience didn’t feel professional. Staff weren’t especially pleasant or helpful, and basic hospitality like greeting guests and answering questions confidently was missing. When we asked things, the response was often just “Don’t know.” Our television wasn’t working, and when we reported it, we were told all rooms had the same problem. Asked why, we got “I don’t know.” There was clearly a language barrier, and communication wasn’t handled professionally. The hotel phone line was also unreachable when we called for help. The RM200 deposit was collected right at check-in, so naturally we expected it to be refunded promptly at check-out. Also, parking should be free for hotel guests. Frontline staff need proper customer service training. Guests expect clear answers, help, and a welcoming attitude. With better training, more professionalism, and attention to the guest experience, this place could be much better.

The beach is fantastic, and there’s a fire performance there at night on certain days. The sun is very hot, but you can hang laundry out to dry. Family Mart and the food court are within walking distance. Room service responds and comes when requested. The price was good for me, and I had a comfortable, satisfying stay. The floors, carpet, lifts, and tiles around the property are a bit dirty, old, and run down.
