We were five in the family, and there was plenty of room for us in this large unit: three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It also had a washing machine, full-size fridge, water dispenser, induction cooker, water heater, an eight-seat dining table, and Netflix and YouTube. Grace Homestay is right in the city centre, near convenience stores, 24-hour restaurants and laundry, and Pasar Tawau is an 800-metre walk away. We stayed two nights. The host messaged to say the unit had no electricity because of a major outage in east Sabah, and offered us a refund. They were quick to answer my WhatsApp questions. I chose to stay anyway, since hotels with generators were fully booked.

A cozy, clean place to unwind before a trip or flight. There's a living room, washing machine, coffee machine and air conditioning, with restaurants close by.

Really comfortable and tidy little spot above Big Apple Donuts. It fits 13 people and is fully air-conditioned. Just be aware it's on the second floor, with no lift.
