The room felt old, and renovations had been going on for months. There was just one socket, which was really inconvenient. Wi-Fi barely worked, only when I stood by the door, and the signal was weak. I don’t think I’ll return.

They’ve added a new elevator, so there’s no more hauling heavy bags up the stairs. Thanks to the hotel!

For a budget stay for four in Tawau, this hotel works if you mainly need somewhere to sleep. My first visit was convenient for finding food, with convenience stores, restaurants, and food stalls all around the town location. The room was clean, the shower had strong pressure, and the air conditioning was cold. We booked for four people with two queen beds, but got only two towels and had to ask the counter for the other two. Sound carries in from outside because the room isn’t soundproof. There’s no elevator, and the iron is kept outside the rooms on each floor. It had lots of burn marks, so be careful with it. A Cuckoo water dispenser is outside for drinking water. There’s no hotel parking. You might find a space in front, otherwise you’ll need to walk a little, and the area gets quiet at night, so take care when parking. Hopefully management improves the facilities and convenience for guests.

Renovation noise was so bad, but the hotel kept operating anyway. They shouldn’t be open while that work is going on.
