Bahang Bay Hotel

The New Year's Eve dinner and countdown were a highlight. There was a wide buffet selection, especially the barbecue, shawarma, satays, and char koay teow 😋. Our group even won a few game prizes, then there were fireworks at midnight and a birthday song for our birthday boy. Incredible night. We stayed one night on the 31st. Room keys were handed out in stages from after 1 pm, which helped avoid a queue at the counter. While waiting for the rest of the rooms, we had welcome drinks at Selasih, plus well-brewed kopi kampung in a tehko and free distilled water from noon. Nice touch. The small curry puffs and tacos were good too, and there were affordable ice cream cones, muffins, biscuits, and tiffin sets. The high ceiling made it feel a little warm, though the small air coolers around the area helped some. Thanks especially to Fauzziah frm Revenue for arranging everything, the reception staff, and the Selasih bartender for keeping up with our endless kopi kampung 😂🤣. The ever-helpful security guard also helped take photos and find parking on checkout morning. Thank you all, we'll be back for more experiences.

A convenient, good-value hotel compared with others in the area, with all the basic amenities. The staff were polite and keen to help, and made our stay better. Thanks to Asikin in particular.

We were here on a weekday for company team building. It's a compact hotel with a pool, games, and nice rooms. The halal-certified food was good at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the beach is about a five-minute walk away, though the hotel also has a buggy. Staff were friendly, even though the only person on at night was an intern. A few things could be improved. The air conditioning seemed off in some areas, especially by the lift, maybe because it was a weekday or quiet period. The decor was quite plain, and the pool table room was small and awkward to play in. Still, a good stay.

The Malay-style theme gives the hotel a distinct local feel, from the decorations to the background music. The room furniture is basic and average. Cleanliness across many parts of the hotel needs significant improvement to meet expectations. The lobby feels stuffy, and poor air circulation makes the bar seating area extremely warm and uncomfortable for sitting long. Staff could also improve their professionalism and service attitude. The place has potential, but ventilation, cleanliness, facilities, and staff training need work.
