The room was a decent size for the price, and the hotel was a short trip from town with two restaurants nearby. But I had a terrible stay because of the male receptionist. He was rude and acted as though he controlled whether guests could come and go after midnight. There was a large wooden barrier at the entrance, which he said was for security because of earlier robberies. I've never seen a hotel run this way. Twice, I found him asleep on the couch when I arrived. If the person responsible for security is sleeping, I wondered, who is looking after the guests? I also had a friend of a friend come early in the morning to check in under my name and join me for sahur. I'd already given my friend the booking details, but the receptionist refused and questioned why an Indian guest would have a Malay friend with that kind of name. My friend's friend didn't know what was going on and left feeling humiliated. It came across as blatant racism. When I firmly asked the receptionist to be quiet, he called me rude. I gestured for him to stop talking, and he brought up age and respect. I said I didn't want to discuss it further, then told him “Enough,” but he kept arguing. When my friend came back into the hotel, he switched to Tamil even though he knew I'd asked him to stop. The room itself had comfortable beds, a spacious bathroom, and towels and toothbrushes were provided. The hotel was good value, especially for a short trip. Still, the receptionist's behavior made this the worst hotel experience I've had. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. First and last time.

We enjoyed our short stay, and the hotel is good value for money. The room was a decent size, with comfortable beds and a bathroom that's more spacious than average. Towels and toothbrushes were provided. It's around 10 minutes from the town center, easy to reach by road, and there are two restaurants nearby. The water heater in my room didn't work properly. To get hot water, I had to turn the pressure way down, which made for a less enjoyable shower. The rooms also aren't well insulated, so sounds from outside and neighboring rooms carry through. I'd have liked an extra mirror in the room too, since even small adjustments to my appearance meant going back and forth to the bathroom.

We just needed somewhere to sleep, so it was okay, though it didn't feel worth the price. It was Chinese New Year, so there wasn't much choice. Our family of four had a minimalist room with two double beds. The floor and towels were clean, but there was some dust, maybe from the curtain or bedding. Sorry, I have a sensitive nose. There were four toothbrush and toothpaste sets, but bring your own other toiletries. Water pressure was low, and there's no lift, so be ready to carry luggage up to the second floor.

We booked a family room just for an overnight rest. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable for me and my three grown children. The staff were friendly, and the price was very affordable. A very good stay.

A very reasonable rate, with plenty of street parking and a sundry shop right next door. The town center is about a five-minute drive away. Our room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean too. Towels and clothes hangers were supplied, and there's a washer and dryer near reception.
