AAM Hotel

I booked this place at the last minute because I thought it was a hotel near the hospital, and I didn’t research it first, so that part was my mistake. The name is misleading, though. It should be called a hostel, and I won’t stay here again. The staff came across as rude, rolling their eyes when I raised an issue. Hair and dust were all over the room, staircase, and window, and the floor was dirty. At night, mosquitoes kept us from sleeping and bit my kids a lot. Stairway and corridor lights were dim or unusable, making it really dark. The ironing station is in that dark corridor and can’t be brought into the room. There was no water boiler or cup, basically no amenities, and the running water was slow.

For the price, this hotel was a great deal. My room was clean, comfortable, and had the essentials, and the staff made sure I was looked after with friendly service. It’s also conveniently located for exploring Kota Bharu. The quality felt good despite the budget-friendly price, and I’d recommend it for a straightforward stay, whether for work or leisure.

AAM Hotel’s central location made it easy to get to local attractions, and I found the staff friendly and attentive from check-in through checkout. My room felt cozy and relaxing, with plush bedding and the amenities I needed. The warm atmosphere and care put into the details made the stay especially comfortable. I’d recommend AAM Hotel for a welcoming, peaceful stay, and I look forward to coming back on my next visit to Kubang Kerian.

The Agoda listing still offers breakfast, even though it hasn’t been available for a long time, which is misleading and needs correcting. In the room, the bed linens hadn’t been changed, and the towels were unwashed and smelled bad. The shared bathroom door lock was broken, affecting privacy and security. The owner needs to act quickly to improve the accommodation. A disappointing stay.
