Minang Cove Resort is a quiet place for families or couples, not a party island. The grounds are immaculate and the rooms are tidied every day. Staff are welcoming, from the quirky island bartender to the friendly waiter who’s always ready to serve. There’s a range of food for breakfast and dinner, including western breakfast items and BBQ in the evening. The buffet changes themes, with Indian, Malaya and Chinese options. Snorkeling gear is supplied, and you can head straight out from the beach. At low tide you can reach coral reefs; at high tide there are fish, sea turtles, dolphins and baby sharks to see. Each night at 9pm, they feed sharks at the end of the wharf. It’s a relaxing, slow island experience, five stars for that. The common areas also have great WiFi, handy for teenagers. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay. We highly recommend the Singapore Sling.

The food was fantastic, and the staff were attentive and professional. We spent 4 nights at Minang Cove Resort in a comfortable room overlooking the ocean, with the soothing sound of waves below. We also went snorkeling around nearby islands and visited the turtle sanctuary. The resort provided snorkeling gear for free, and we enjoyed relaxation massages. There’s a quiet beach and unspoilt jungle nearby. We highly recommend Minang Cove Resort & Spa.

The chef made vegetarian meals for me throughout my stay, even though most local food has meat, and I felt well looked after. Breakfast was simple but had what I needed. Everything felt fresh, and from the balcony my room had an amazing view of the sea and jetty, a lovely place to rest. The island’s nature is incredible. The waterfall is beautiful, and the walk across the island has lovely views and a good atmosphere. I also went on a snorkeling trip and got lucky with the weather. The ocean was amazing and I saw lots of animal life. The view at Minang Cove is incredible, and it’s very quiet, with a calm sea. The staff are attentive and make sure you have what you need to be comfortable and enjoy yourself. One of the best resorts I’ve been to.

I was very satisfied with this private resort. The beach is clean, the coral is right in front, and at night you can see them feeding the sharks. All the staff were so friendly. Thank you to Ms Ana.

Tucked between jungle and sea on a secluded beach, this is a cozy little resort. Everything was clean and in order, and the friendly, helpful staff made us feel welcome. If I return to Tioman Island, I’ll pick Minang Cove again and stay longer.
