Foresight Hostel

It's a spacious stay for an affordable price, with great service and only a limited number of rooms. The hotel feels safe, with an extra set of doors to pass through before reaching the rooms. The area is fairly quiet and peaceful at night, while food and beverage places are nearby and Tawau centre isn't far. There's no signboard, though. The hotel is among the shop lots, and I only found it after they sent directions.

We arrived at 6:30 p.m. to find the gate locked and no staff around. Nobody answered the doorbell, and the property's phone number was completely unreachable. Agoda couldn't get through to the owner or staff either. Eventually, a tenant gave us another contact, but the woman who answered was super rude and said it wasn't her problem because she wasn't handling our Agoda booking. Agoda eventually gave us a full refund, and we found another nearby hotel. Terrible service.

We rested really well here. The room was cozy and super clean, and looked exactly like the listing. It's on the second floor. There's no check-in process; once you've paid, they give you the automatic gate password so you can get in. The owner was super helpful, and I'd book here again.

The host was amazing, and the Appartement was clean and comfy. We checked in late, but he waited for us and let us choose between two nice Appartements. When we messaged Eric to ask if we could get clean towels the next day, he brought them over right away instead. He also let us stay three extra hours after checkout and arranged transport to the airport. Great service and cleanliness, so I can highly recommend this Appartement.
