Peladang Tioman Chalet

The chalet was neat and spacious, and the price was pretty low, so it felt worth what we paid. It's in a great spot, about a five-minute walk from the ferry station. They also rent out bikes, and breakfast is available for an extra cost. During peak season, booking ahead is a good idea. In the off-season, you can just walk in and book.

The room was so unpleasant that we spent the whole stay sitting outside to avoid being indoors. The toilets were filthy, there were bed bugs and their droppings, and the dishes and curtains hadn't been washed. The windows were broken, and the chairs smelled awful. It looked as if the place hadn't been cleaned in years. This was the worst place I've stayed, and I'd give it negative stars if I could. A stay here could ruin a holiday on an otherwise lovely island.

The chalet is close to everything we needed, with a grocery store about a two-minute walk away and a restaurant nearby. We could even barbecue right in front of our room. The room was fairly large and well priced, with air conditioning and a water heater. The staff were friendly too. I'd definitely recommend it.

The location was good, and the bed was decent apart from a few stains on the sheets. The air conditioning worked really well at night and was good enough during the day. Wi-Fi was hit or miss, but WhatsApp calls sometimes worked. The restaurant across the street was good for breakfast. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months, and even the outside of the toilet was brown. The walls were so thin we could hear the neighbors and see light coming from their room at night. There were fire ants in the bed. You get what you pay for, I suppose. We booked late and had no other options, but I wouldn't stay again anytime soon.
