Our spacious house was right on the beach, with a fantastic sea view. The access felt private, and the beach was clean and safe, with security patrolling around the clock. The kids loved snorkeling and spotting seahorses and starfish, and we also visited Pansy island. Julie recommended great local businesses, and she referred an amazing chef for Christmas who made us a delicious meal. The staff were so supportive and helped make the stay memorable. Special thanks to Julie and Ed for going out of their way to look after us, and to Domingo and Philly for their wonderful hospitality. This is one of the best family beach resorts I’ve visited. I’d highly recommend it and definitely want to come back!

Our beach house was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and someone came by every morning to tidy up. I especially liked the bowl of water by the entrance for washing off the sand. The kids had a great time in the warm sea, which felt lovely after the icy water back home along the Cape Town coastline. Julie made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, with her warm and friendly manner. The location is hard to beat, just a few meters from the sea and right on the beach, with incredible views. We had a wonderful stay at Farol Da Barra and would gladly return. It’s a lovely place to get away from everything, and I’d recommend it as a holiday spot.

The location was exactly what we hoped for, right on the beach and so peaceful you could almost fall from bed straight into the ocean. Julie was a lovely host, welcoming and full of useful information. We were very happy here and would gladly come back.

We spent two weeks here over the festive season with two families and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and excellent, and the kitchen had all the tools we needed. Make sure you have a 4x4 to reach the accommodation, and remember to check the tides for arrival and departure.

The Farol team helped us find local sightseeing options and activities, and were amazing throughout. The beaches felt safe with 24-hour security. We had a great time!
