Delagoa Bay City Inn

We arrived very late after a long day's drive, but the porter found us a handy parking spot just outside the hotel entrance. The staff still put together a wonderful meal despite the late hour, with some of the biggest, most delicious prawns I've ever eaten. Everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to make our party comfortable. We slept well, checked our onward route on the free WiFi, and headed off. Highly recommended.

Just right for a rest before my very early flight from Maputo airport the next morning. The desk staff were friendly, and I got a complimentary drink when I arrived. The room was simple and clean, with AC, WiFi, and a comfortable bed. It's well placed, close to the sea, the city, and local restaurants, and not far from the airport. I left before breakfast, but the staff packed some fruit for me to take. Good value, and I'd recommend this hotel.

We were able to have a comfortable stay, and the staff were really friendly, though our room wasn't ready even though we arrived two hours after check-in. One morning we had to leave at 6am for a family function, so the kitchen staff arranged breakfast for us at 5am. My family and I would definitely return.

The room needs major renovation. It felt old: the wooden bed squeaked whenever I shifted, one window wouldn't close, and there was a dingy old towel on the bathroom floor that I didn't want to step on after a shower. There wasn't a spare electrical outlet in the room either, so I unplugged the desk lamp to charge my laptop and used the bathroom to charge my phone. Parking is free, but it's on the street, and sometimes there's no space in front of the hotel. I booked three nights, then my plans changed and I could only stay for two. I told the hotel at check-in, but they insisted I pay for all three nights. Two stars for being a hotel, I wouldn't recommend it and won't stay again.
