Oryx Maputo

The rooms were refreshed every morning, and the place felt clean, modern, and easy to relax in. Everyone was warm, professional, and ready to help. When the WiFi went out for a night, they offered us breakfast for free, which was a kind way to handle it. There’s no hotel parking, but we left the car on the street out front and the guard kept watch all night. I felt at ease. I had a great stay at Oryx Boutique Hotel Maputo and would recommend it to visitors to Maputo.

The central location made it easy to get to shops, restaurants, a cafe, a pharmacy, and a convenience store downstairs. Even so, the hotel felt like a quiet spot away from the city bustle. The staff welcomed us warmly, offered personal suggestions for food and things to do, and made sure we had a memorable stay. Our room was comfortable, with modern amenities, soft furnishings, a bed that felt like a cloud, and a breathtaking panoramic view. Every detail seemed carefully considered, and the elegant atmosphere was there from the moment we arrived. We had an extraordinary time at Oryx Boutique Hotel and can’t wait to return.

Compared with other Maputo hotels, this is the best value for the money. In this price range, maybe only one of two hotels can match it.

There’s a lovely cafe on the ground floor with tasty crepes and other food, and the internet is fast and consistently available. Oryx is a charming little boutique hotel with a cheerful feel. The staff are helpful and the place feels very safe. I’d recommend it if you need a place to stay in Maputo.
