The food was good, tasty, nicely portioned and well priced. Accommodation was also great value, and the staff were friendly and polite. I’d definitely recommend the place. Just so you know, it’s no longer self catering. They have a restaurant, and like most hotels, you can’t eat or drink food from elsewhere outside your room. My wife and I hadn’t realized that and brought our own food, but they kindly let us keep it in their kitchen fridges while we were there. The bathroom was the one letdown. The curtain smelled bad, so I asked them to take it away on my first day. The replacement wasn’t any better. If they updated the bathroom, I’d give the place five stars.

My family of seven had a great time here. The food was simply amazing, the rooms were very clean, and the service was great. I’d definitely return and recommend it.

The clean pool and a few helpful staff members were the only positives. The rooms were tiny, dirty and in very poor condition, and the bathrooms didn't work. Breakfast was disappointing and very small, sometimes just one item and other days two, and it was served very late. Some staff looked unhappy, parking didn't seem to be considered for customers, and there was no food or drink service. Mosquitoes were everywhere. The power was out all night in 38° heat, and the air conditioner was weak. When we raised our concerns, the manager wouldn't even deal with them, as though the guests were a nuisance. Management was bad, despite acting like the place was a big deal. Avoid it if you want a nice time in Ponta.
